Allison Nowotnik Fisher

Academic Programming Advisor


Allison Nowotnik Fisher is a Management Consulting Manager within the Human Capital practice of Accenture Federal Services with 10 years of experience developing and implementing adult learning and job skilling programs, workforce development initiatives, and change management transformation services for large-scale organizations. Allison has worked with clients from the private, public and non-profit sectors, delivering solutions to help workers adapt and develop their skillsets to respond to the digital economy. Allison currently supports growth and strategic efforts for AFS’s work with the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

For the past four years, Allison has co-led Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University (IVMF). Specifically, she oversaw the design and national deployment of the Onward to Opportunity in Partnership with the Veterans Career Transition Program – an industry-aligned employment training and job placement program for transitioning military service members and military spouses.

Allison was born and raised in Port Chester, NY and is a 2008 graduate of Binghamton University where she received a B.A. in English and Economics. Allison currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and enjoys cooking, yoga, traveling, a good non-fiction book, Syracuse basketball, and spending summers in upstate NY.

My Best Learning Experience

The best learning experience I've had continues to be working with the IVMF to better understand how human services, including education and employment, can be delivered in a more efficient, coordinated way to maximize benefits for those in need.
